DROO / Da Costa Mahindroo Architects

Redeveloped into a 5-star hotel, serviced apartments and conference facilities, the sensitive contemporary design aims to preserve the listed building’s original features while integrating contemporary inserts such as a new roof extension. This extension is not devised as an add-on, but rather as an abstracted veil offering a striking background to the existing buildings. Our guiding concept resides in the development and use of traditional techniques and motifs within cutting edge design and manufacturing technologies to give a new life to this outstanding and eclectic structure.
