Horizon

Nominee
Sculpted chenille Horizon features undulating lines reminiscent of distant mountains reflected on the water in a tight repeat resulting in a semi-regular horizontal stripe for upholstery use. Nuances in the nap create instances of light and shadow, matte and sheen and high-low relief between colorful, plush chenille elements and low-lying neutral background. These distinct design elements enhance the visual impact of the fabric, while rich colors in carefully crafted groupings evoke images of cliffside villages and coastal cottages, mountain lodges and desert oases. In Tuscan Sun, blue – in shades of sky and cornflower – alternates with kiwi and deep orange to produce a festive and refreshing pattern recalling Mediterranean villas; while the muted blues in Coastal Mist offer tempered tones of slate, ice and teal punctuated with taupe for a distinctly moody northern coast feel. A palette of gold, burnt sienna, tawny and ochre establishes a Southwestern vibe in Autumn Vista, while steel, navy, avocado and burgundy command a dramatic presence for Mountain Dusk.
