The woods we use in manufacturing are all North American Hardwoods that are harvested from managed forests. In order to be as friendly to the environment as we can be, John Boos utilizes all scrap material for heat and power to run the dry kilns and boilers so nothing goes to waste. Why wood is good in the kitchen: Wood is natural, sustainable, and biodegradable.
