The new WIREWORKS Forms Open-Cell Ceiling System from USG Interiors, Inc. adds an innovative and visually intriguing high-tech look to open-cell ceiling designs. Each of the new 2- by 2-foot lay-in panels features a distinctive design manufactured from 3/16-inch-thick robotically welded curved steel wire that forms a three-dimensional shape or is woven into an intricate weave pattern. The four panels in the Forms series are named Weave, Ripple, Small Wave and Big Wave, reflecting their overall appearance. Equally effective in both new and remodeling retrofit applications, these open-cell panels provide an interesting accent to all types of interior spaces and are designed to meet a variety of design and budget requirements. They also accommodate lightweight signage, lighting and merchandising displays. For maximum flexibility and visual interest, the panels can be installed either angled upward toward the ceiling or downward toward the floor. They combine with USG Interiors' GRIDWARE Suspension System to create a custom ceiling system. In addition, the panels can easily be installed into DONN ® Brand Suspension Systems. The new panels are ideal for accenting a variety of spaces, including retail stores, schools and healthcare facilities.- more - “The WIREWORKS Forms series is inspired by the unique and reproducible sculpted look that robotic wire welding achieves, said Graeme Gee, USG Interiors' business manager, Specialty Ceilings. “The result is a distinguished combination of depth and dimension that is not found in any other open-cell ceiling. The panels are available in a variety of high-gloss, powder-coated finishes that are highly durable and resist abuse, as well as custom colors. Users can also combine different panel and grid colors to suit their individual tastes. The four new panels expand the existing WIREWORKS line of flat 2- by 2-foot panels, which includes four different flat, open-cell panels with 1/8-inch-thick wires featuring spacings ranging from 1 by 1 to 4 by 4.
