The Design Process
The homeowners, a pair of Seattle attorneys, wanted to infuse their home with as much personality as possible. They worked with Beth Dotolo and Carolina V. Gentry of Pulp Design Studios to design a bright welcoming space inspired by their graphic black-and-white inglenook fireplace, adding geometric patterns and touches of blue throughout the space. The home is a closed plan layout where every room is compartmentalized, allowing Pulp to create each area of the kitchen and dining room as an individual jewel box that flows into the next, with interesting furniture layouts and navigation schemes.
