Whitney Brothers® Introduces outdoorED™ Learning Pavilion For Young Learners
New entry in the brand’s award-winning outdoorED™ Collection is a stylish, engaging hub that fosters outdoor discovery, community and educational play.
Keene, NH, May 29, 2026 – Award winning children’s furniture brand Whitney Brothers® today introduced the outdoorED™ Learning Pavilion, a freestanding activity center for young learners constructed in weatherproof material with a fresh, distinct design that extends the classroom outdoors and connects young children with the natural environment every day.
The pavilion is intentionally proportioned for young learners. The spacious interior comfortably accommodates multiple children and a variety of collaborative activities, creating an inviting setting for outdoor exploration, creativity and social interaction. An overhanging activity table on each side — accessible from both inside and outside the pavilion — pairs perfectly with outdoorED™ Benches (sold separately) to support small group learning, hands-on projects and imaginative play that will keep children engaged for hours.
The vented roof provides welcomed shade from the sun or shelter from weather and extends outdoor learning opportunities throughout the day and across seasons. Wide openings on each end provide ADA accessibility and create an inclusive environment designed for every child to participate comfortably.
The pavilion is constructed in sturdy 3/4-inch textured woodgrain maple and white HDPE panels that form crisp pleasing lines with refined contrasting color accents. White panels do not absorb or reflect heat from the sun and are easily cleaned using common non-abrasive household cleaning agents. The HDPE material is UV stabilized to resist fading, stains, mold and mildew and will not chip, rot, swell, delaminate or absorb moisture, bacteria or odors, making it ideal for long lasting outdoor use. UV stabilized HDPE is more recyclable than other plastics and therefore contributes to a circular economy by reducing waste, an important commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
The pavilion also complies with the National Head Start Association (NHSA) and federal Head Start Program requirement that outdoor equipment must be free from splinters, an important safety consideration.
The outdoorED™ Collection comprises 11 individual furniture pieces that support the specialized ergonomic and developmental needs of preschool and kindergarten aged children. The wide range of purpose-built furniture enables an outdoor early learning environment that supports STEM / sensory, literacy development, imaginative play, social seating, storage and quiet sanctuary can be furnished within the collection. The entire collection is designed, sourced and manufactured in the US and supported by an industry leading 15 Year Limited Warranty.
