A major residential conversion, completed across a year of renovation. A huge amount of structural work was done followed by the complete remodelling of this Victorian home in Kew Gardens in London. Including all of the living and reception areas, dining room, kitchen, master bedrooms and bathroom.The final design has opened up the house beautifully, creating a light-filled space on the ground floor for entertaining and relaxing, leading directly onto a pretty garden, with large custom designed windows and glass door helping bring the outside in.The design reflects the client's personality. Stylish and creatively tailored with a hint of bohemian charm. The overall mood is warm and welcoming, using a palette of Farrow&Ball paints to create a rich and soft backdrop.PATCHWORKING THE KITCHENThe statement patchwork floor in the kitchen was designed using encaustic cement tiles from Spain. The shaker style ivory kitchen and stunning black range cooker provide the perfect foil, allowing the floor to do most of the talking. Mix and match cupboard handles see simple black and ivory bone on the overhead cupboards and vintage style iron pull handles below. An oversized Belfast sink completes the look.1ST FLOOR BATHROOMSuzy Hoodless's stunning Foxglove wallpaper creates an impact within the newly styled family bathroom flanked by Diego Rivera.The cast iron roll top bath painted in Farrow&Ball's 'Bone' sits on reclaimed Lassco floor boards and co-ordinates with custom built cupboards with bone handles from Chloe Alberry.A Victorian style washstand nods to the house's history, updated with accessories and fittings designed to add a little bit of glamour and fun.A picture window casts soft light onto the bath.
