Notes
Shantell Martin’s artwork is massive. Often her pieces can be 20’, 40’, 60’ ft. wide and 8’ ft. tall. The process to capture her essence in upholstery with limited loom size took many trials, ultimately demanding modifications in weaving and design. No great upholstery is without trials. This collection is perfectly complete; construction, color and pattern.Momentum partnered with the industry’s most revered artisanal mill to assure a luxurious though performing outcome (50,000 DR). The three textiles are cotton blends, resulting in beautiful hand and saturated color. The fourth pattern, Today Here Now, is a Silica Print, a coated fabric in 100% silicone, for the most demanding environment (500,000 DR).
