Spanning one hundred fifty feet, and rising seventy five feet onto a contemporary church facade, this twenty thousand square foot layered fabric structure was installed in Santiago, Chile in November 1995 to celebrate "el dia de todos los santos". The lightweight transparent sculpture creates a reflectiveenvironment for contemplation and remembrance, and gives shade from the hot summer sun for six thousand persons during the noon ceremony. The fabric can be easily installed in one day by four persons, and replaces conventional tents previously placed on the site.
