Sustainability
The special polymer that compounds the internal part of the tiles is a cross-linked polyethylene foam with closed cells. This polymer is ecological, recyclable, non-toxic and fireproof according to the European legislation. The closed cells structure prevents water and humidity from penetrating. The tiles are resistant both to high and low temperature – from -40°C to +95°C – and grant thermal and acoustic insulation.
Notes
Sleeping and co’s tiles can be realized in high quality leather, eco-leather, boiled wool and woven fabrics. All materials are certificated fireproof. Thanks to a water-repellent treatment, water and stains slip away. The peculiarity of Sleeping and co’s hook and loop tiles is the self-adhesive Velcro applying technique: unlike glues, this material is very clean and easy to apply.Velcro is certificated fireproof according to the European legislation. It is combined with a special adhesive film, specifically created for walls and other materials such as fiberglass, wood, glass, and metal surfaces. The self-adhesive surface is 1 millimeter thick, thus granting a perfect adherence even on difficult surfaces, such as walls and plaster. After the Velcro positioning, the adherence reaches 30% immediately and 95% after 24 hours.Panels can be realized with a maximum dimension of 700 x 800 mm and 12 mm thick. Within this dimensions, every shape can be produced, as puzzles, customized logos, drawings in relief or engraved. Each tile can be provided with a sewing border, to be laid on chairs and other upholstered products.
