The dramatic difference of color gives this floor a bold and expressive appearance. Quartersawn sections, mineral streaks and small to large sized knots can also be found and adds interest and dimension to the flooring.Black Oak ‚¬â€œ Designer's Touch dark richness permeates the entire profile thickness, which ensures that the color will not be scratched or worn off or sanded through. With no surface stain to wear through, the floor can be sanded and refinished time and time again without the costly expense and down time of staining to recreate the original color of the flooring.Sealed with the company's ultra matte urethane, this waterfall applied finish is situated at a 10-point gloss level, giving the flooring surface a virtual no sheen appearance. The appearance is much like that of a richly oiled surface but has greater durability.
