Circon is the most environmentally friendly vinyl wallcovering on the planet.

Ground-breaking technology was used to develop the only product in the marketplace, a new generation of  vinyl wallcovering, that is BIO-SOURCED, CARBON NEUTRAL and 100% RECYCABLE.

The first-of-its-kind, Circon is:

  • more than 70% bio-sourced replacing traditional ingredients with natural contents such as wood and algae
  • certified carbon-neutral removes fossil fuels from the manufacturing process, eliminating CO2 emissions at the source
  • 100% recyclable creating a circular loop, a sustainable impact beyond the project life and easy reclamation program

Our aim is to pioneer the creation of the most sustainable vinyl possible with new technology that replaces traditional ingredients with sustainably bio-sourced ingredients, has removed much of the fossil fuel and uses rapidly renewable technology that will continue to have a sustainable impact creating a circular economy.

Circon debuts this innovative new vinyl wallcovering with four patterns, Loma, Miro, Miro Texture and Zari, which are an artistic expression of nature and celebration of the renewal it inspires.  The feeling of harmony, balance and peaceful coexistence is united with aesthetics, durability and sustainability - all within the same budget as traditional wallcovering.

Circon pushes the boundaries of innovation to help pioneer a sustainable future.

The Design Process

Circon is a bio-sourced, carbon neutral, recyclable wallcovering. This Type II vinyl wallcovering is patent-pending and a ground-breaking approach to wallcovering technology.

A circular economy has been a strong push in developing this product as we aim to minimize waste and maximize the lifespan of materials used in interior spaces. We have approached this product category in the same manner as all of our innovations which is to provide Choices Without Compromise. As sustainability pioneers, it is always our goal to look beyond today. We strive for a way forward in what we do and what we produce. We are conscious of the environmental impact and the entire lifecycle. Circon provides another choice for specifiers as a sustainable option with a lower embodied carbon footprint.

The bio-sourced carbon neutral journey starts with the raw materials we use in the manufacturing process. Over 70% of the inputs we use are from rapidly renewable sources. We sustainably source and harvest materials ranging from wood residues to algae. Being rapidly renewable ensures that the carbon capture process continues after harvest in a continual loop of carbon absorption.

So, how do we bring all of this together to create a carbon neutral wallcovering? The answer is R&D that integrates these bio-inputs across the manufacturing process to maximize bio-content. Fossil fuels are removed, bio-sourced ingredients replace traditional inputs and a 100% bio-sourced natural fiber is used in the wallcovering backing.

When it comes to sustainability, we address every aspect of the product lifecycle. Circon utilizes water-based inks, is low VOC and a full reclamation program is in place. We have a long history with pioneering water-based technology and recycling strategies.  We were the first in the industry to print with an entirely water-based ink system and also the first to offer a reclamation program that has been in place for years. Even our packaging is recyclable with 100% FSC certified cores.

Circon has an HPD and EPD available for product transparency, is free of Phthalates, Formaldehyde, Heavy Metals (RoHS), PBDEs (Brominated Flame Retardants), Prop 65 Compliant, Meets California Section 01350 Indoor Air Quality (Low VOC), and utilizes an aggressive manufacturing materials recovery reuse program and as mentioned is printed with highly cleanable water-based inks.

Circon is built on a legacy of innovation. Our research and development team has decades of experience driving innovation, developing a full suite of sustainable technologies such as evo® PVC Free Technology to Second Look post-consumer recycled content and now Circon Bio-Sourced Vinyl Technology.

The Circon collection launches with four designs inspired by nature and art celebrating the renewal it inspires. Additionally, Circon can be specified beyond these initial designs with custom design options available in the Circon construction.
