Composed of limestone and a polymeric blend composite, Emerge is a new eco-resilient commercial floor tile. Developed in the ecological spirit of an LCA approach, Emerge will contain twelve colorations of 12-inch square tiles at 3/32-inch gauge. The Emerge pattern consists of a mix of tone-on-tone base colorations with a peppering of multi-colors designed to add pop and dimension to the tiles. Additionally, the multi-color chips are intended to add design possibilities by allowing the tiles to pick up on other colors in the environment. Emerge requires minimal maintenance with dry buffing and one to two coats of polish in high traffic areas. Beginning October 2008, Emerge eco-resilient tiles will be available to the architecture and design community.Not only are Emerge eco-resilient tiles created utilizing lean manufacturing processes that include recycled content, the longevity of the product's life cycle makes it an environmentally responsible resilient flooring choice. Utilizing the latest polymer technology, Emerge is a new type of commercial tile that is free of polypropylene, chlorine and phthalates. Emerge is resistant to scratches and scuffs while requiring minimal maintenance, almost eliminating the use of harsh chemicals and water. Additionally, Emerge is designed to provide a long life cycle of over 20 years of commercial performance, which greatly reduces the need to replace the floor.
