To keep the inside of its optical cavity clean, Exceed harnesses the power of convective airflow. Air that is heated by the lamp expands and rises through the optical system to exit through the ventilation ports at the top. Cool air is naturally drawn into the optical cavity through the aperture to replace the exiting hot air. This upward air flow prevents most contaminants from settling on the inner optical surfaces while also ensuring the coolest running system.3.Cool*Heat exposure is a common detriment of component life – the higher the temperature, the shorter the life. Open-rated lamps avoid trapped heat due to the requirement of a bottom lens enclosure. Convective ventilation allows heat, as well as dust, to escape the optical cavity. No radiation is reflected back onto the lamp envelope, arc tube or socket. Ventilation ports are positioned to carry lamp heat out and around the ballast. Co-centric design prevents direct lamp radiation of the ballast housing. Ballast housing and optical mounting cylinder are ribbed to increase heat dissipation.4.Compact*Compact and lightweight.
