Electronic Faucet
A new collection of modern-styled electronic faucets from Gerber may bridge the design divide and help broaden the appeal of hands-free convenience and water-saving benefits associated with sensor activation. The faucets are available with either a plug-in transformer (AC) or battery (DC) power (four AA batteries), when a power outlet is not available. All faucet functions can be reprogrammed via an optional remote control that allows installers and homeowners to custom design the sensor's detection time, detection range and/or the faucet run time. Advances in electronic sensor technology have made it more economical to provide "hands-free" faucets that conserve the use of water and limit the "touching" of faucet surfaces, which controls the spread of bacteria. The faucet's electronic sensor is factory set to activate instantly (re-programmable between 0-14 seconds) and to turn off as soon as the user's hands are removed from the sensor beam. This makes Gerber's electronic faucets ideal for children's bathrooms and for people with disabilities. The basic model is sold in the $400 to $630 range and is available through plumbing wholesalers nationwide. All Gerber electronic faucets are quality cast from solid brass and feature optional remote programming and a limited five-year warranty.
