Electronic Faucet

Silver Award
A new collection of modern-styled electronic faucets from Gerber maybridge the design divide and help broaden the appeal of hands-freeconvenience and water-saving benefits associated with sensor activation. The faucets are available with either a plug-in transformer (AC) orbattery (DC) power (four AA batteries), when a power outlet is notavailable. All faucet functions can be reprogrammed via an optionalremote control that allows installers and homeowners to custom designthe sensor's detection time, detection range and/or the faucet run time.Advances in electronic sensor technology have made it more economical toprovide "hands-free" faucets that conserve the use of water and limitthe "touching" of faucet surfaces, which controls the spread ofbacteria. The faucet's electronic sensor is factory set to activate instantly(re-programmable between 0-14 seconds) and to turn off as soon as theuser's hands are removed from the sensor beam. This makes Gerber'selectronic faucets ideal for children's bathrooms and for people withdisabilities. The basic model is sold in the $400 to $630 range and is availablethrough plumbing wholesalers nationwide. All Gerber electronic faucetsare quality cast from solid brass and feature optional remoteprogramming and a limited five-year warranty.
