The Reveal Collection, designed by award-winning furniture designer Mark Goetz and visual communications designer May Liu, bridges classic and modern patterns while showcasing the increased universality of a reduced environmental footprint. Collaborating closely with Momentum Design Studio, Goetz and Liu utilized their understanding of proportion, aesthetic sophistication, and high level of design integrity to further the integration of Eco-intelligent® yarns into elegant textile applications. The intent of Reveal was to create a sustainable collection that reflected the designers' shared passion for the environment. Bridging the three-dimensional insight of Goetz with the two-dimensional sensibility of Liu, the Momentum Design Studios artfully interpreted design concepts that embodied three fundamental elements: Line, Shape and Form. Translating artistic inspiration into woven actuality, Reveal holistically addresses the relationship between form and function.By endeavoring to meld enlivened patterns with environmental responsibility, the designers employed MBDC Gold, Cradle to Cradle Certified, spun Eco Intelligent® Polyester. The pioneering weave construction expands the definition of sustainability by keeping pace with evolving environmental design processes. This new yarn-type models its production after nature's biological metabolism in that every ingredient is indefinitely recyclable for the maintenance of quality in subsequent product generations. The three new patterns of the Reveal Collection, X Factor, Gesture and Matter, are composed of this high-performance material and contribute to the elimination of the take-make-waste model of the last century.The MBDC Gold Certified Reval Collection features unique weaves and bold contrasting colors providing chic yet accessible fabrics for use in commercial spaces. Goetz emphasizes, "We try to give things a reserved, quiet expression so they're appropriate in a variety of environments, but we also try to make interesting forms that people really like, something fresh and new." The new collection explores structural grid patterns that integrate the playful with the savvy.
