The Design Process

The objective behind the Duo Faucet Collection was to create a highly versatile, design-forward solution that meets the evolving needs of hospitality designers, architects, and property developers. In a category dominated by static finishes and fixed forms, the team set out to design a faucet that allows for true customization—without compromising on performance or durability.

The project was a collaborative effort between Speakman’s in-house industrial design team, product engineers, and key stakeholders from the hospitality and multifamily design community. Drawing inspiration from fashion, industrial design, and emerging interior trends, the team developed a modular sleeve system that enables a wide range of finish combinations—bringing bold, mixed-metal aesthetics to a traditionally conservative product category.

The result is a thoughtfully engineered faucet collection that is both beautiful and adaptable, giving designers and developers a creative tool to elevate spaces while streamlining long-term maintenance and updates.

Sustainability

The Duo Faucet Collection supports sustainability through design longevity and material efficiency. Its modular sleeve system allows finishes to be refreshed without replacing the entire faucet—reducing material waste and extending the lifecycle of the product in both commercial and residential applications.
