Panaz was founded in 1986 by the then Managing & Design Director Tony Attard (now CEO) with the aim of producing flame retardant textiles for the international hospitality and healthcare sectors, focusing particularly on the emerging demand for fabrics which not only met stringent flame retardant specifications but which reflected emerging trends in design and colour stories. Over the ensuing 22 years, Panaz has embraced new technological developments in fibres, printing and manufacturing, combining them with a trend-setting young design team, a dynamic management style and a determination to explore new markets both in the UK and overseas. A past winner of two Queen's Awards - for Export Achievement and for Innovation - the company now operates worldwide, offering a constantly evolving design-led portfolio to meet all applicable standards relating to contract furnishings across hospitality, healthcare and commercial environments.
