Liqui was initially started by designer maker Cameron Fry in 2007 with the aim of establishing a design studio with a multi-disciplined approach. It would blur the boundaries between art and design, graphics and furniture, lighting and sculpture creating unique designs in a variety of fields that would not only be visually interesting and functional but also have a minimum effect on the environment.
Cameron now heads up a team that specializes in combining disparate elements and using unusual materials in different ways as well as mixing old and new styles together.
Liqui are always looking to the future – to improve on what we've already done – and what we do next could be the polar opposite to what we did last time. But whatever we're working on our designs have integrity – they are well thought out with an acute attention to detail. We make a lot of our pieces by hand to maintain a high quality – but we also keep abreast of modern production methods and the latest sustainable materials.
We're making a difference because we're making things that are different.
