Light and color are the hallmarks reflected throughout this unique contemporary condominium penthouse. The designer embraces the concept of reflecting the exterior surrounding the home in the interior. The private elevator vestibule introduces dramatic glass mosaics of pale gold and pale teal in the flooring which are then repeated in the fireplace wall of the Grand Salon. Pale gold and pale teal continue in the backlit glass panel walls at the entry.
The ceiling of the Grand Salon features a custom designed fiber optic lighting treatment which brings the effect of a twinkling night sky into the home. A ribbon of stone travels from the floor to the 20 ft ceiling above the fireplace wall.
Custom Italian doors varying from cream lacquer to smoked glass are used throughout the home. Custom-made furniture and cabinetry are featured in every room. The wavy drywall feature of the bedroom gallery leading to the guest bedrooms mimics the outside ocean.
The custom designed kitchen features stone countertops, cream lacquered cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. The family room coffered ceiling application of stainless steel inserts emphasizes the continuity of materials from the kitchen.
The master bedroom contains a stainless steel hovering fire orb hanging diagonally from the bed. Custom backlit rice paper wall panels surround and soften the lines of a plasma TV.
The guest suite has repeated patterns of circles in the bedding and window treatments that reinforce the texture of the wood grain cabinetry. A sculptural screened effect is created at the entry to the bedroom which separates the sleeping area from the bathroom entry area.
A fire/water pit on the roof terrace is surrounded by a custom built bench with a fiber optic constellation ceiling. Slate covering the floor of the roof terrace continues the organic theme of the home.
