These draperies are made of faux leather in black with an astonishing adornment of studs and die-cuts forming an image of the ancient Rose of the Winds, an early version of a compass rose which personified compass directions as winds with individual names. The studs around the "Rose" represent stars, and the black background of the drapery - the night sky. The bckground can be made of any color, but dark - such as black, dark-brown, navy etc is preferred to relay the feling of the mystical Wind Rose and highlight the shiny stud-stars.

Ma Jolie Maison
We truly enjoy what we do - design and create window treatments!
We design window treatments in every concievable category - traditional, modern, commercial... draperies, valances, swags, cornices.
We especially LOVE doing one-of-a-kind pieces that can be percieved as art, some of such pieces are presented here on the ADEX Awards website.
We also specialize in historical reporductions based on the rare and antique books in our library and 18-19 century drawings passed down to us by our ancestors who were the seamstresses and dress makers to the Russian aristocracy. Our passion for fabrics and sewing is rooted in several generations going as far as as 1795 (that we know of).
If you need a highly skilled treatment, or looking for something truly unusual and one of a kind, or just a plain pair of draperies impeccably executed - Ma Jolie Maison masters are the people to do it.
