The So-Lo with Heated Shower Deck is designed to not only meet the needs of the baby boomer generation as they age, but to accommodate demands for universal design in the residential marketplace. In keeping with the following principles of universal design, both models offer a lifetime of bathing to the world, regardless of physical ability and age. 1. Useful and marketable to any group – a bathtub that can be used by a child, an adult, a senior, with or without mobility difficulties…. I can use it, my child can use it, my mother and my grandmother, even my great grandmother can use the Safety Bath So-Lo with Shower Deck. 2. Accommodates a wide range of individual preferences and abilities – a bathtub that can be used by those who want to bathe and by those who want to shower. The heated “alcove” seat provides a seating place for those who might become fatigued in the shower. 3. Familiar design makes it easy to understand and use...the same 60” length as a regular bathtub. No additional lift or seat is required. 4. Can be used regardless of the user's ambulatory ability. 5. Minimizes hazards and accidents by eliminating the need to step over the bathtub wall and providing safe entrance. 6. Can be used with low physical effort and does not fatigue the user. 7. Provides for ease in approach, reach, manipulation, and use, regardless of the user's body size, posture or mobility.
